Let's introduce Fiore

Handmade glass vase designed by MELIMELI's founder Amelia Widell and manufactured by Reijmyre Glasbruk.

"I feel incredibly proud and happy to present the Fiore vase together with Reijmyre Glasbruk. This is my take on the timeless vase that has been around for generations. It is made to be loved for a lifetime, with or without flowers. Fiore is also the perfect Christmas gift." - Amelia Widell, founder and chief designer of MELIMELI

Crafts

After the glass is caught with a pipe from a 1100 degree glass furnace, it is shaped with a wooden scoop and newspaper. The vase is then mouth-blown into a specially made wooden mould. After this, the vase is punched to give it its characteristic wavy edge around the opening.

To avoid cracking, the vases are placed in a flash oven overnight. The next morning they are room temperature and taken out for a final de-sealing before signing and packing. In total, each vase goes through 5-6 hands before it is packed and ready.

The vase is currently available in pink, blue, green, yellow and transparent. The vases come in a handmade exclusive paper box and can be purchased in MELIMELI's Flagship store in Gamla Stan, Stockholm and on melimelihome.se.
