Where do you find inspiration for your home style?
I really love my home to feel comfortable and lived in, but not too much clutter. I like to mix new pieces with lots of vintage pieces to create a nice mix. It's really down to trial and error as each space is so different. Sometimes I buy things thinking it will work perfectly, but it doesn't suit the room so it's all about finding what works in the space. I always think that a home/your sacred space is never completely complete and is always evolving. Time allows us to bring in new pieces while letting go of others.

What are your top 5 things that you couldn't live without in your home?
Definitely my bathtub! Some people might say their bed, but a bath is so important to me and helps me unwind like nothing else. Number 2 would be my stunning MeliMeli sofa! It's so chic, timeless and unbelievably comfortable. Number 3 would be some incense. Every time I need to create a calmer, more zen atmosphere at home, burning a stick of incense does the trick. Number 4 is my Smeg fridge and kettle that I literally couldn't live without! The kettle especially as it's an essential item to fuel my constant English breakfast tea habit. Last but not least, my beautiful wishbone dining chairs- you can't go wrong.

Is there a piece in your home that has traveled with you from each place you have lived in?
My seashell jewellery box that I bought in Maine, USA when I was just 19. It is so sentimental for me and reminds me of a very special time in my life. It is still in such good condition (despite many moves) and ahhh it really takes me back. I keep it on my bookshelf and like to keep my Polaroids there to hold even more memories.

What does home mean to you?
Home is a space that I always feel safe in. I spend a lot of time at home due to the nature of my work. I have recently become as interested in homeware as I am with fashion and beauty because I just love being surrounded by things that I have personally picked out for the space. Home is the place I have been able to make beautiful memories in and I have grown so much in these four walls.

Any decorating you're looking to do in your home soon? Or something new style you are looking for?
I am looking for some special plant pots. I love ceramics in general but I really feel like they come alive when plants are involved. Some of my plants have outgrown their little homes and I need to do some repotting! I might make that my weekend task....

A sofa for the large family and the small significant moments. We met up with fashionista Thérèse Hellström known as @tesshell to talk about the importance of interior. Tess is based in Paris and work as a fashion director for the Danish brand Custommade and as a writer and fashion contributor at ELLE Sweden.

Where do you find inspiration for your home interior?
By living in Paris you're exposed to so much inspiration daily that you almost don't need anything more... but I also love to read through French interior magazines or to visit other people's homes to find inspiration.

How important is your home for you?
My home is really my "safe place" – especially after the pandemic. I also love everything about being home... To be happy with my apartment is one of the most important things in life for me!

Favorite piece in your home?
My favorite piece at home is definitely the Teddy chairs from MeliMeli. They're not only chic and trendy, also so comfortable and cozy to have at home.

We open our first physical store at Slussplan 5 in Gamla stan, Stockholm. With an area of 460 sqm that includes, showroom, boutique and office space, all under the same roof.

MELIMELI Atelier should be a place of inspiration and creativity. The interior of the store is a curated selection of décor for both living room, kitchen and bedroom. A place for those looking for a new sofa, a home accessory, professional advice or a coffee from MELIMELIs coffee bar made up of Cupboards & Goods.

Having only been online for 5 years, it feels incredibly exciting to open a real store and meet ourcustomers in real life. The old town and the location right next to the new Slussen feels interesting and as an obvious meeting point in Stockholm. It provides an opportunity to get customers to test-sit our furniture and build a stronger relationship with the brand MELIMELI and what we stand for

"This is a great opportunity where we get to inspire new thoughts about rooms. In autumn it is especially important to make sure to enjoy ourselves at home because we spend so much time indoors. The three weeks we move in with H&M HOME is in the middle of the autumn rush when the upload for the upcoming holidays is extra important. We have carefully selected favorites that help to create the balance and comfort needed to be able to rejoice, even during the darker months. The Yin/Yang collection, consisting of our Italian linen fabrics in polka dot and striped, creates harmony thanks to the balance between the contrasting patterns and the teddy collection adds the warm, snug feeling that autumn requires. Together with selected products from H&M HOME, our pop-up environments will be well worth a visit for inspiration.

Along with the furniture, there will also be ceramics inspired by our Yin/Yang pattern, created in collaboration with the artist Sabrina Vaino. The handmade dotted and striped vases come from Sabina's studio in Stockholm and will fit perfectly into the interior design world we build together with H&M HOME in London, Malmö and Stockholm.

We visit H&M HOME's concept stores at 224 Regent Street in London, Gustav Adolfs torg 2 in Malmö and Drottninggatan 50 and Biblioteksgatan 11 in Stockholm. The pop-up shop is on site from November 2nd until November 22nd.

When Amelia Widell founded MELIMELI in 2015, she did so with the vision that the home should be a place of recovery where every person is allowed to be themselves. The new armchair is part of our Dahlia collection, which already includes the sofa of the same name offered in two different sizes. Dahlia Love Seat has the same classic design, with delicate armrests and beautiful buttoned cushions, as the sofas. The armchair is the perfect size to curl up in alone, or with someone you want to be extra close to.

"I am so happy that we have finally launched Dahlia Love Seat, as many of our customers have requested a more spacious armchair to match their other MELIMELI furniture. I have sneakily tried the chair at home and love spending evenings in it with my daughters", says Chief Designer and Founder Amelia Widell about her third chair.

MELIMELI welcomed spring with the launch of the pastel green linen fabric Pistage. After the success of the light green fabric, several customers have expressed a desire for another green linen shade. To meet customer demand, MELIMELI is now launching the color Khaki, a green/beige shade that is perfect for autumn.

"Thanks to the luxury of being able to meet and talk to our customers directly in our showroom on Artillerigatan, Khaki was an obvious color to develop. I am delighted to be able to offer customers a color they have requested and I know that Khaki will fit into many homes", says Amelia Widell, creative director and founder.

Back in May, MELIMELI's followers on Instagram got a preview of the autumn launch when pictures of the headboard Johanna were shown for the first time. The images of the softcurved headboard, designed together with entrepreneur and influencer Johanna Bradford hinted at the upcoming launch and were asked many curious questions.

Khaki becomes the sixth shade of linen fabric from MELIMELI. All linen fabrics are a mix developed and produced in one of Italy's top weaving mills and the fabric is both durable and stylish. Since linen is a natural fiber, a living material, it also means that they change and become more beautiful over time.

The linen fabric Khaki is welcomed into the growing family of MELIMELI fabrics which, in addition to the linen fabrics, consists of six velvet colors and one teddy fabric. Like all the other fabrics, Khaki can be ordered for sofas, armchairs, ottomans, cushions and all other MELIMELI furniture. So you can customize your home even with the khaki color.

What is important to you when decorating?
Harmony, that the whole feels harmonious and calm. If you get to the red thread, the impression becomes very harmonious. I want my home to be pleasant and personal, because it's so important that it feels like someone is living in the home. The home should have space for the most important thing in life – family and friends.

How does your home reflect your personality?
My interior design style and my wardrobe look kind of the same, the same colors, the same vision and the same material in some way. I am probably an extrovert who is outgoing, but in my home I want to be able to find peace, peace and security. I strive for our home to be a quiet, safe castle, something that is perhaps a contrast to my colorful personality? Our slightly more dull and quiet home complements me. I probably wouldn't have managed a home that was too colorful, then I probably would never have found the peace.

LUCA GRANDE , the perfect place for the whole family

Is there any furniture that has accompanied you since you left home?
Embarrassingly no, a few interior details but unfortunately no furniture. When we bought our first apartment, the economy looked a little different and then it consisted mostly only of IKEA furniture. Now I think much longer term and think that some furniture or lamps should be allowed to accompany me for life.

What kind of music is streaming out of your speakers at home?
Wow, what the kids are hooking up to at the moment, haha. We rarely get to decide anymore, so I barely have time to stay up to date on Spotify's news. But if I had had the choice, I would probably have chosen acoustic music while Daniel is probably a house person. The kids choose pop. As you can hear, it's chaos.

What is important to you in the choice of sofa?
That we'd fit the whole family! We wanted a sofa with a timeless design that was cozy, deep and that you can really crawl up into. Preferably with removable upholstery, mainly with regard to the children, but also so that you can change according to mood and feeling without having to change the whole sofa.

You're such a source of inspiration for a lot of people, where do you find your inspiration?
Everywhere! On social media, in newspapers, in nature, in cities and on travel. Yes, clearly everywhere! Interior design and design always come with me in some way and since I genuinely find it fun, I collect a lot of impressions everywhere.

Last, three quick tips when it comes to interior design?
Lighting, the red thread and textiles. Absolutely the most important tips to get a cozy, homely and personal home.

How does your home reflect your person?
It's social but at the same time highly sensitive – just like me, haha! We have a home that is created to live in and really have a good time in but I am a highly sensitive person who requires a certain calm at home at the same time. I think it's great that we've found that balance in the apartment and that makes it the best place in the world!

You do so much, how and where do you get energy?
I actually draw a lot of energy from being home. It's my safe place on earth and where I can relax the most. Otherwise, hanging out with my friends, my family and my little baby gives me a lot of energy.

Where would you rather drink your morning coffee and with whom?
At home, at the kitchen table, with Damon on one side and Dante in his high chair on the other side. It's the best moment of the day for me. BUT I also say in a hotel in southern Europe on a perfect hot summer morning. There's probably nothing more delightful than getting ready and going down to the hotel breakfast when you're on holiday in Italy or France in the summer. First sip of that frothy cappuccino, views of the sea and people chatting in Italian all around. That smell and feeling is like a drug to me, the best in the world.

When did you leave home, is there any furniture that's been with you ever since?
Me and Petra (Tungården) left home together when we were 18 and 19 years old, respectively. Then we had lanterns from Indian, IKEA furniture and Petra had a large family photo above the sofa. I loved that time in life, but the furniture had to stay in 2008...

What kind of music is streaming out of your speakers at home?
Damon listens to music a lot and we mix hello wildly. Three things that are often played are Håkan Hellström, The Weeknd and Persian music! Nowadays also "Babblarnas lullaby" – what not to do to get the little one to sleep...

What is important to consider when decorating a children's room?
That it's practical and cozy. Boa is an important and fun part of pregnancy, so you have to dream away a little. I think it was super fun to play with the balance between practical and cute but also to be decorated with things that would never be in an adult room – soft toys, small rabbit lamps and paintings with elephants on them. Oh!

If your home was a person, who would it be?
It would have been a mix of me and my fiancé. I really think our personalities shine through in our home!

Where do you find the inspiration for your home?
Pinterest! And so we have just enlisted the help of an interior designer to really get the right feeling here at home. Which is the best decision we've made for our home!

Last, three quick tips when it comes to interior design?
– Dare to enlist the help of an interior designer if you feel it is needed
–Always balance practical with neat – if it's just practical but not neat, it's not harmonious. And if it's neat but not practical, the same applies!

Together with Amelia Widell, she had to test out her dream sofa in the show room at Artillerigatan 16. With him she had little Arnold and her mother.

Margaux had as a desire to find a sofa that is both deep and as comfortable to sleep in as a bed. Her criteria were great, stylish and practical. After testing all the sofas in the show room, she finally chose a Luca Grande in white linen. See the pictures here:

Melimeli 's sheets are manufactured by the main manufacturers in Europe and have undergone a long process before a finished product has been presented. - What is your favorite product?
The Luca sofa! It is the first piece of furniture I designed and it is still my favorite. We have Luca Grande in off white at home that accommodates the whole family.

• What is Meli Meli in 5 years?
"In 5 years, Meli Meli will have developed her product range so that you can decorate an entire home with only products and furniture from Meli Meli

• If you didn't work in interior design, what would you do for a job?
"Then I would definitely work with flowers.

We are proud to present our various materials that are developed in a sustainable way, in factories where the staff are well disposed of and who are supposed to last a lifetime if the material is treated correctly.

In the tanks of velvet: 

Melimeli's Velvet is a soft and luxurious material in 100% cotton from Italy. The velvet measures a Martindale on 100.000 in unity and is thereby incredibly durable. Important to remember, however, is that velvet is sensitive to water, so avoid washing the fabric with a wet cloth. If liquid is spilled on the velvet, it will not sink into the fabric directly, but fold on top of it as a film. Velvet can absorb dust and the best way to remove this is by vacuuming the fabric with a soft brush at regular intervals. A roller or a clothes brush can also be used to easily spruce up the velvet fabric. If a pressure mark has arisen on your product, the steam from a steam iron or a steamer can be used to smooth the fabric.

In the thoughts of linen
MeliMeli's linen is a linen mix from Italy consisting of 28% cotton 21% flax and 51% viscose. The linen is made of natural fiber and is thus a living material that changes and becomes more beautiful over time. To maintain the quality of the linen, we only recommend dry cleaning on our linen furniture. If liquid is spilled on your linen furniture, wipe it up with a dry cloth. If a stain occurs, use a wet wipe to remove the dirt.

In the thoughts of viscose
MeliMeli's nico rug rug rug rug consists of 100% viscose. To maintain the quality of the carpet, we recommend that you vacuum it from time to time so that dust, excess material and dirt are removed. When the carpet is new, it can lug off, but this gives way over time.

If liquid is spilled on the carpet, wipe it up with a dry cloth and then strike the carpet in the direction of the pile. If a stain occurs, use a stain remover suitable for viscose rugs. In case of severe stains are recommended dry cleaning, then our viscose rugs do not tear water wash. We also recommend that you use carpet mats and rotate the carpet sometimes for even wear.

In the mind of teddy
Our teddy material has a material composition of 80% acrylic and 20% polyester which together form a soft and fine off-white fabric. To maintain the quality of the teddy material, we only recommend dry cleaning our teddy products. If liquid is spilled on the product, wipe it up with a dry cloth. If there is a stain, use a wet wipe to remove the dirt.

This ottoman is inspired by the flowers and plants that we surround ourselves with daily. Who doesn't love to get and receive flowers sometimes? FLORA is just as good as a footstool, pouf or a table to put your breakfast tray on.

Only the imagination sets limits on what this ottoman can fill as a function in your life.
